Geography

Introduction

We intend to study the geograpgy of the planet not from a purely theoretical standpoint. The intention here is to understand the implications of the planet's geography. An analysis of how the fortnes of differen civilsations were affected as a result, the reasons behind different historical events and so on is of most importance to us.
However, the below image, found online would still serve as a useful base to ensure that I understand the nomenclature as I learn more about geography.
